Lexington Medical Center's Governor's Cup Road Race
A Storied History
The Governor's Cup Road Race course has endured a long and rich history, beginning in 1972 with the first race. Since that time, this road race has featured a mix of hills and flat stretches (but mostly up and down hills) through downtown Columbia, Five Points, Shandon, Heathwood and Lake Katherine. The Lexington Medical Center’s Governor’s Cup Road Race includes a half marathon, eight-kilometer run, eight-kilometer walk and kid’s run
